My name is Liping He, an Associate Professor working in Seed Biology at Yunnan Agriculture University, Kunming, China. I was a Visiting Scholar working with Professor McDonald in the Seed Biology Program and Dr. Tay in the OPGC at OSU from January, 2006 to January, 2007. In OSU, my research was about a few wild flower species seed dormancy mechanisms and priming.
During this one year, I learned and gained many things helpful for me in my professional teaching at my university that also opened my mind to new research projects. I have many fond memories of my time at OSU. For example, discussing the proposal of my research with Professor McDonald, helping me correct my poster and papers, participating in different Horticulture and Crop Science seminars each Friday in room 244 Kottman Hall, and attending different professional meetings. The beautiful trees in the fall, the white snow of Columbus, and so many friends there, I could not forget all of them. I am proud of my experience working at OSU and I hope to have more cooperation with OSU in the future. |
